Terms and Conditions

These terms set out how we work, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you when you book an appliance repair with Islington Appliance Repair.

01

Services Provided

Islington Appliance Repair provides in-home repair and maintenance for residential household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, ranges and ovens.

Our services are available to residential customers located in Etobicoke and York. We do not service commercial kitchens or appliances installed in commercial premises.

02

Booking and Appointments

Appointments can be booked by phone or through the booking form on this website. When you book, you agree to provide accurate contact details and a correct service address.

We will confirm your appointment and give you an arrival window. Our technician will contact you before arriving. Someone aged 18 or over must be present at the property for the duration of the visit.

03

Diagnostic Fee and Pricing

Our technician will diagnose the fault and quote a full price before any repair work begins. No work is carried out until you approve that price.

  • The diagnostic fee is $0 when you go ahead with the repair
  • If you decline the repair after diagnosis, a diagnostic fee applies and is payable on the day
  • Prices quoted cover the fault diagnosed at that visit and do not include unrelated faults discovered later
  • If additional work becomes necessary, we will contact you for approval before proceeding
04

Payment

Payment is due in full once the repair is completed. We accept the payment methods listed at the time of booking.

Ownership of any replacement part remains with Islington Appliance Repair until payment has been received in full.

05

Parts and Warranty

We fit OEM parts wherever available. Where an OEM part is discontinued, we will discuss the alternatives with you before proceeding.

Completed repairs are covered by our warranty for 3 months from the date of the original repair. Full terms, exclusions and the claim process are set out on our Warranty page.

06

Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment by contacting us. Full details of notice periods and any applicable charges are set out in our Cancellation Policy.

07

Customer Responsibilities

To allow us to carry out the repair safely and efficiently, you agree to:

  • Provide safe and unobstructed access to the appliance
  • Clear the area around the appliance before our technician arrives
  • Secure any pets for the duration of the visit
  • Give accurate information about the appliance and the fault
  • Ensure the appliance is installed and connected in line with manufacturer requirements
08

Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the repair carried out. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of food, loss of income, or damage arising from an appliance that was already faulty, incorrectly installed or previously worked on by a third party.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear or defects that are identified during the visit but were not caused by our work.
